Thorough Examination

We are a fully accredited CFTS Thorough Examination inspector.

A Thorough Examination is the name given to the mandatory inspection required by law to ensure that the mechanical parts of a lift truck or plant machine are in safe working order. It is roughly equivalent to the MOT for cars.

With our competent personnel, we can carry out thorough examinations as per LOLER and PUWER regulations on a wide range of plant and lifting equipment, including telehandlers, forklifts, and excavators.

Every forklift truck must have a Thorough Examination at least once a year. However, LOLER 98 makes it clear that it could be more frequent than this, depending on the type of truck, its use, and environment.

Use the interactive form on the Thorough Examination website for a general guide about when your trucks might need their next inspection carrying out.
